WOW, Our 15th annual Greyhound Rescue of Idaho's Reunion/Greyhound Planet Day was a Huge Success!

With almost 70 people there during the course of the 3 hour reunion & picnic, and almost

40 dogs (all of which were greyhounds except 4, not that we held that against them, teehee), but anyway we had a Greyt turnout! The people and the greyhounds we met today and those we haven't seen in a long time were so delightful!!   The weather was beautiful, Ken and Ron's barbecued burgers and hot dogs were delicious and FUN was had by all!  (We couldn't get the greys to sing together, although the owners did a fine  job of trying to get their dogs to sing!)  Congratulations to Bijou, the non greyhound who won the singing contest!!  And to all the others who won the race for their life and the race into their owner's heart!

We also received a wonderful first response to our raffle which will be continued on thru to the drawings on Dec. 13th.

Applications for adoption and fostering came in today too, even from as far away as Idaho Falls area!

We missed each of  you who didn't make it and hope you will  consider coming next year.

GRI's raffle and fundraiser luncheon brought in $450.00 in just 3 hours.   THANK YOU EVERYONE!  This money will surely come in handy for the new greyhounds we are welcoming to Boise on the 27th of this month!

A HUGE THANK YOU  TO ALL OUR BOARD MEMBERS & VOLUNTEERS WHO WERE SO INSTRUMENTAL IN MAKING TODAY, NOT ONLY A HUGE SUCCESS IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS, BUT A TIME TO BE STILL, AND REMEMBER ALL THE GREYHOUNDS WE LOVE IN OUR HOMES NOW,  AND THOSE WE HAVE LOVED & LOST, AND ALL THOSE WHO NEVER GOT THE CHANCE.............
